Our Pop-Up Shop for Dying Matters Awareness Week

Overview

For the last two years DeadSocal have ran run a popup shop in Camden for a week in order to help support ‘Dying Matters Awareness Week’. We then encouraged local businesses, the NHS and charities to use the space in order to highlight the work that they carry out and campaign in Camden along one of the UK’s most iconic high streets.

The video below amalgamates photos and videos from our event in 2013.

Introduction by Save the Male, 2014

Save the Male ‘tookover’ the Pop-Up shop in 2014 for an evening of Poetry and Spoken Word. Save the Male are based at the Camden Roundhouse and support the Charity CALM (the campaign against living miserably). This is a short snippet from their event in the pop-up shop.

About Dying Matters Awareness Week

Each year organisations, charities, hospices and those who work within the end of life sector run their own events across the UK during Dying Matters Awareness Week. DeadSocial’s founder (James Norris) put together a handy guide as to things to consider and things to do when running an event in 2015 and beyond. This can be read here
